This international Brand have a requirement for a Brand Buying Manager to take responsibility for overseeing merchandise planning and selection  buying and achieving  sales growth and profitability .

The position is for footwear and accessories  and will suit a person with a strong  buying background with European Brands ; who is interested to live and work within Dubai .

Responsibilities will include :

Brand Merchandise Planning and Product Selection

  • Reporting to a General Manager  you will be responsible for leading and developing the skills of a category and merchandising team
  • Study merchandise requirements based on actual sales, sales forecasts, company order parameters, inventory checks, forth coming events, replenishment needs.
  • Determine buying requirements and formulate buying plan and budget and follow through to the selection
  • Pricing, promotion, assortment planning with the team for timely availability of stocks at the stores across territories

Brand Growth

  • Maximize sales and profitability of the brand across the UAE stores
  • Develop the brand launch strategy in consultation with the Brand General Manager.
  • Control costs within budgetary guidelines for the brand stores.
  • Maximize productivity in stores through effective deployment of resources at brand stores,  ensuring  sell through by  product, style and assortment plans.
  • Review feedback from territories on Brand acceptance and customer expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to financial plan in all key areas – sales, markdowns, margin and inventory.

Brand Image  and Market Research

  • Create brand awareness and carry out market research . Analyze trends by territory that may impact the business
  • Keep up to date with market competition
  • Co-ordinate  new store openings and store refits
  • Work closely with the retail operations and project teams

The Person:

Educated to Degree level we are seeking a candidate with a strong brand buying background  and good European Brand experience .  Previous footwear and accessories experience is required . Sound commercial ability and excellent communication skills.
