A New Year and a great new opportunity with a significant supplier and manufacturer of ladies and men’s clothing
The Sales Manager Apparel will be responsible for developing private label business with specific retailers and will need to be used to working with multiple fashion retailers and to overseeing the development process
Responsibilities of the Sales Manager Apparel will include:
Presenting and working closely with the retail buyers
Providing design direction to the in house designers and overseeing the development process
Overseeing the sampling process
Negotiate prices and time frames taking into account factory capacity.
Work directly with the factory and ensuring time frames and quality standards are achieved
Keep up to date with new market developments with fabrics and finished garments
Identifying new business opportunities.
Taking responsibility for achieving sales and margins
Carry out competitor analysis
This is a new position within the business which will require the Sales Manager Apparel to travel occasionally overseas
You as Sales Manager Apparel will need to have a sound commercial background with knowledge of product and manufacturing processes. A sound knowledge of the UK multiple retail market is required with experience of developing product
You may be working as a Sales Manager or Senior Account Manager Previous experience of working with major retailers such as Primark is desirable.
